Candle Care 101
How to: prep your candle
- Trim wick to 1/4" before every burn — this prevents uneven burning and smoke on candle glass.
How to: burn your candle
- Burn for a minimum of 1.5 hours; do not burn longer than 3 hours — wax should be liquid from edge to edge. This allows an even candle burn pool and avoids tunneling.
- To avoid soot build-up on surfaces, ensure ample clearance above and around the candle.
- Don’t burn your candle all the way down. Stop burning when 1/2" of wax remains — this will make it easier to clean out the wax and repurpose the vessel.
How to: safety tips
- Never leave a burning candle unattended — make sure to extinguish all flames.
- Never move a burning candle.
- Never burn on or near anything flammable.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
